Cookie Policy

Effective 01 July 2026. This policy explains what cookies Hujozat uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

Last updated: 01-07-2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, improve user experience, and provide analytical information to site operators.

We also use similar technologies including web beacons (pixels), local storage, and session identifiers. Where these technologies can identify you directly or indirectly, we treat them under this Cookie Policy in the same way as cookies.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes: to keep you signed in as you navigate between pages; to remember your language, currency, and region preferences; to understand how you and other visitors use our Platform so we can improve it; to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; and to detect and prevent fraudulent activity.

Some cookies are set by Hujozat ('first-party cookies'). Others are set by third-party services that appear on our pages ('third-party cookies'). Both types are governed by this policy.

3. Types of cookies we use

Essential cookies — These are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Without them, services you have asked for (such as logging in, maintaining a session, or making a booking) cannot be provided. You cannot opt out of these cookies because the Platform would not work without them.

Performance & analytics cookies — These collect anonymised information about how visitors use our Platform, such as which pages are visited most often, how long visitors spend on each page, and whether users encounter error messages. This data helps us diagnose problems and improve performance.

Functionality cookies — These remember choices you make (such as your preferred language, currency, or search parameters) to provide a more personalised experience. They may also remember changes you have made to customisable parts of the Platform.

Marketing & advertising cookies — These track your browsing activity across websites to build a profile of your interests and deliver advertisements that are relevant to you. They are only placed with your explicit consent and can be withdrawn at any time.

4. Cookies we set

First-party cookies: session_id — authenticates you and maintains your login session (essential, deleted on browser close); csrf_token — prevents cross-site request forgery attacks (essential, session); preferences — stores your language, currency, and region settings (functionality, 12 months); analytics_id — assigns a random identifier for anonymous usage analytics (performance, 12 months); consent_record — stores your cookie-consent choices (essential, 12 months).

Third-party cookies: _ga / _ga_* — Google Analytics visitor identification and usage tracking (performance, 24 months); _fbp — Facebook Pixel for measuring ad-campaign effectiveness (marketing, 90 days); stripe_mid / stripe_sid — Stripe fraud-prevention identifiers during payment (essential, session).

5. Third-party cookies

Certain cookies on our Platform are placed by third-party services, including Google Analytics (website usage analysis), Facebook/Meta (ad-campaign measurement), and Stripe (payment fraud prevention). These third parties may process data in countries outside Algeria.

We do not control how third parties use their cookies. Each third party has its own privacy policy governing its data practices. We encourage you to review these policies: Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy), Meta Privacy Policy (www.facebook.com/privacy/policy), and Stripe Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy).

6. Managing your cookie preferences

When you first visit our Platform, a cookie-consent banner will appear allowing you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the 'Cookie Settings' link in the website footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, though this may affect Platform functionality. Instructions for common browsers: Google Chrome (support.google.com/chrome), Mozilla Firefox (support.mozilla.org), Safari (support.apple.com/safari), Microsoft Edge (support.microsoft.com/edge).

Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or making bookings. Disabling functionality cookies may reset your language and currency preferences.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Platform.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.

8. Contact us

If you have questions about our use of cookies or wish to exercise your preferences, please contact us at: Hujozat S.P.A., 123 Rue Didouche Mourad, Algiers 16000, Algeria. Email: support@hujozat.online.
